The Talent Balance.
Talent has become trendy.
Hardly a week goes by without column inches and
airtime being devoted to the discussion of how organisations recruit,
develop and retain it. And of course everyone knows what talent
is, how to recognise it and that all organisations desperately
need it!
One could be forgiven for thinking that it is unalterably
associated with youth, 'young talent' being a favourite sound
bite of critics, commentators and management gurus alike!
But few, if any, are willing to hazard a definition.
Even fewer say that they have found fail-safe
ways of fostering it.
At Walking with Leaders we believe that everyone
has talent. Many leave their talents at home when they set off
for work each morning and many more have talents which are hidden
because, 'we don't do it like that here.'
Talent, at its simplest, is the ability to provide
what the organisation needs at the time it is needed. That could
be the ability to see what no-one else sees or perhaps making
things seem simple or even finding a better way of doing something.
Talent is the oil upon which every organisation
depends for its continued existence in a changing world.
Does your organisation recruit 'bright young talent'
only to discover that in 5 years time that they have either left
or have 'not lived up to early promise'?
Do your Strategic Change plans seem to falter once
the initial enthusiasm wanes?
Do you know what the changing world means for your
organisation and the people you will need to recruit and retain
in the future?
Join us for a Masterclass
devoted to finding the Talent Balance© in your organisation.

release it for the benefit of all?
